Tim Knight is the host of Trading the Close, a daily segment offering a unique perspective on how to adjust your trades before the markets close.

Tim Knight has been charting and trading since 1987. His first stock trade was placed on October 19, 1987 – the day of the crash – which perhaps goes a long way explaining his disposition toward bearishness. In 1992, Knight founded Prophet, a web-based technical analysis company acquired by Investools and later, Ameritrade, consistently named by Barron’s and Forbes as the #1 website for technical analysis.

While his more contemporary writing has been focused on charting and the history of financial markets, Tim began writing about programming personal computers at the age of 16.
